When will I receive my product(s)?

We are planning to ship early to mid-July 2019. Depending on demand, additional ship dates may be added. These dates are approximated dates based on the best information we have at this time. Rest assured that we want to get our products into your hands as quickly as you do and will do everything we can to achieve that.

What size laptop will the bags hold?

Generally, up to a 15” laptop. The Artist Bag can hold some 17” laptops, depending on the design of the computer.

Was this Batman art made specifically for these bags?

Yes, Jim created an original Batman sketch just for these bags and that art is what was used in the lining printing and the giclee prints. You can only get this art on these bags.

How are my laptop and tablet protected in the bags?

Our device pockets are cushioned with EVA-foam and lined in a plush faux-fur lining.

Did Jim Lee actually design these bags?

Yes, Jim was actively involved in the design and development of these bags. He worked along with our product team, often testing prototypes himself and suggesting adjustments.

Are the bags waterproof?

The bags are made from all water-resistant materials. This means that they do a very good job of keeping your things dry in rain, etc. They are not airtight and not fully waterproof, so don’t take them swimming.

What happens if you exceed your funding goal?

If our funding goal is exceeded, the additional funds mainly go to produce the additional inventory to satisfy the demand and/or to help offset shipping costs as these are subsidized in our rewards and often what we charge for freight does not truly cover the full freight amount.

How do I receive the Limited Edition Jim Lee giclee print?

The first 250 backers to back the project (not including the $1 email list signup reward) will receive 1 of the signed prints. Note that there are only 250 prints available and they will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Can the sleeves in the Collector Backpack be removed so the backpack could be used as a normal backpack when not carrying comics?

The sleeves actually fold flat against the sides of the bag when not in use. This was designed that way for that very reason - so that the backpack can also be used as a “normal” backpack when you don’t have comics in there!

Why is there more than one reward for the Limited Edition Collectors Backpack?

We have been amazed at the positive response to these bags. We wanted to try to keep as many people happy as possible. We were able to utilize additional fabric to make more of these available. We reduced the quantities available of the other reward products to be able to have more Limited Edition bags. The numbers you see available in the rewards now are the total remaining available of this bag, and once they are gone, there will not be more made.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
